If you have a large house with lots of closet space, you probably don't have to worry about storage. For most people however, space is at a premium, especially when you add kids to the mix.
Little people+Lots of little things=Lots of space!
But storage solutions don't have to cost a fortune, and planning doesn't have to be brain science.
Our house has extremely small closets (not sure what the builder was thinking). So, my solution is over-the-door pocket organizers (I bought mine at Walmart for $5 each). Commonly used for shoes, these pocket organizers are perfect for small items. I have one in the kitchen for snacks and baby supplies. One in the entry closet for gloves, scarves, hats, umbrellas and more. And of course, I have one in all of the bedroom closets for shoes, socks and hair clips.
