Denim Vest Search

I love the look of a cute denim vest. Just pop one on over a simple t-shirt and skirt, or a tank and shorts, and it instantly transforms your look. It's especially great for an on-the-go Mom who wants to look good and feel put together. It has been on my radar for some time, but I have been unable to find one that I really like.

Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth, Rihanna & Sienna Miller have all worn steal-worthy versions, but I am sure that my paycheck can't afford me such luxuries.

So, I am on the lookout for something similar in an affordable price range.

Have you jumped on the denim vest bandwagon? If so, where did you find yours? Help a girl out.

I want to be pregnant again...

Ok, not really, but I would consider it if I got to wear these fabulous maternity clothes from Jessica Simpson's new line, Jessica Simpson Maternity.

The clothes, set to launch this fall, will have a vintage 1970s feel, and feature printed tops, maxi dresses, jackets, blazers, sweaters, knits and denim. The line will be sold at Motherhood Maternity, Destination Maternity and Macy's, and prices start at just $36! Super cute and affordable. Two of my favorite things.

Starting in June, girl scout cookie lovers will be able to get their cookie fix in the form of a candy bar.  Oh yes, you heard me! The Girl Scouts have teamed with Nestle to create Crunch bars flavored with Thin Mint, Caramel Coconut (Samoa-inspired) or Peanut Butter Creme (Tagalong-inspired). So long diet, hello chocolate.

Halloween costumes in April??

Ok, I know April is a bit early to start thinking of Halloween. But October will be here before you know it, so I have been mulling over some costume ideas for Roots and Wings {Kids}. I had a shot of inspiration while reading a bedtime book to Esme tonight. These 6 Strawberry Shortcake-inspired tutu dresses/skirts/leggings/hair accessories will be coming to the shop in the next few months, along with several others.

Back from hiatus...

I know it has been a while. Things have been so crazy busy and hectic, but I think I have a little room to breathe now. The Kars4Kids Craft Show was cancelled a week before the show, so I am working on getting my excess stock in the Etsy store <<here>>. I also have quite a few tutu leggings to post once I can figure out a good way to photograph them.

Speaking of photographs, I just wanted to share a few behind-the-scenes pics from last weekends photoshoot for Root & Wings {Kids}. I can only imagine what the photographer's pics look like, since the camera phone pics are so amazing!
